La Paz residents haven't quite got the same attitude to pigeons as our ex-Mayor....almost seems they cultivate them.... Perhaps related to all those ultra-cheap food stalls....Nick
Karen on horseback near Tupiza, Bolivia (Nick didn't look anywhere near as comfortable despite being given the "autopilot horse")
Tupiza is Bolivian cowboy country and not far from here is where Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid met their untimely end.

Over 5 months in and Nick still hasn't shaved or had a haircut....and now we're in Bolivia where the best option is probably to get drunk and ask an Alpaca herder to do his worst...He's threatening to keep it for 2 weddings later this year (Brides this is your chance to veto....help me!)Karen
Karen's insightful comment on making it down from Wayna Picchu (in the background).Nick (the brutish task master)
Karen before I made her climb Wayna Picchu...Nick

Made it to Lima in Peru now, leaving the big heads of Easter Island behind. Here's Karen looking for Paddington Bear outside the Monasterio de San Francisco...

Karen wraps up warm overlooking Lake Llanquihue at Frutillar in the Chilean lake district. Look closely and you should be able to see Osorno volcano in the background.

Karen enjoys the orange juice the Butler brought for our personal wake up call (seriously) at the San Cristobal Tower in Santiago... He left pretty quickly though... Probably disturbed by the devastation we had wreaked in his 5 star hotel room... Or perhaps worried that we would take him up on his offer to do our packing for us!
